Best LEGO Botanical Sets in Australia (2026 Guide)

Updated 18 July 2026·Buying Guide·10 min read

The LEGO Botanical Collection has gone from a quiet 2020 side-line into one of LEGO's most collected adult ranges. Here's every set currently available in Australia, ranked by value, plus a running note on which are retiring soon.

Why the Botanical range keeps selling out

Three reasons the Botanical Collection punches above its weight in the Australian market:

Where we get our prices

All prices below are RRP at LEGO's Australian site. Amazon AU prices float — some sets track LEGO to the dollar, others sit up to 25% cheaper. Always check both before buying.

The full LEGO Botanical range, ranked

1. LEGO Bird of Paradise (10289) — $299.99

The biggest Botanical set to date. 1,173 pieces of tropical drama that stands almost a metre tall when built. Recently marked "retiring soon" on the LEGO site — expect it to disappear from official channels first, then climb 20-40% on the aftermarket over 12-24 months.

2. LEGO Orchid (10311) — $99.99

The one that made everyone rethink LEGO. 608 pieces, 15 inches tall, and the reason most people who "aren't into LEGO" own their first Botanical set. Available in the original white or the newer pink variant (10370). Consistent bestseller.

3. LEGO Bonsai Tree (10281) — $79.99

The other cornerstone Botanical set. Includes two swap-out foliage options (green leaves or pink cherry blossoms) so you can change it seasonally. 878 pieces. This has been the "gateway drug" for a lot of adult LEGO buyers since 2021.

4. LEGO Wildflower Bouquet (10313) — $79.99

Nine wild-style stems including poppies, snapdragons and asters. 939 pieces. Softer aesthetic than the Flower Bouquet — this one leans more country cottage than modern minimalism.

5. LEGO Succulents (10309) — $89.99

Which Botanical set should I buy first?

For most Australian buyers, the answer is one of two:

If you want a Botanical set for your own shelf, the LEGO Orchid (10311) is the safest first purchase — it's the most photographed set in the range for a reason, and the price hasn't moved much since launch. Nice big pieces, forgiving build, looks great in any room.

If you want a gift for someone who likes plants, the LEGO Succulents (10309) is unmatched. Nine pieces you can gift together or split into individual small gifts. Every recipient we've heard about has ended up displaying at least one on their desk.

Our advice

Don't buy retiring sets to flip unless you enjoy the storage, the packaging chase, and the eBay listing hassle. Buy them because you want them. Any resale upside 2-3 years from now is a bonus.

Amazon AU vs LEGO AU — which should you use?

Simple rule: always check both. Prices float week to week. On average across the Botanical range in 2026:

For retiring sets, Amazon AU often has stock after LEGO AU has sold out — this is where the site's real value shows up.
